Pleached screening trees, evergreen planting and lawn in a private garden.

Structured planting for a private garden

Structure, from boundary to border

This planting phase brought together a line of pleached trees, evergreen hedging and a planted bed beneath mature trees. The different layers give each part of the garden a clear role, from boundary screening to lower-level planting.

The work in focus

Supported pleached trees create a green boundary above the brick wall. A narrow evergreen hedge softens the edge of the path, while fresh underplanting brings detail and texture beneath the existing trees.

A garden ready to establish

New planting will fill out as it establishes, adding depth to the boundary and the beds beneath the trees.
